# Equipment Refinement

The upgrade level assigned at gear upgrades +3, +6, and +9 can be increased by refining.&#x20;

A higher upgrade level will improve the main option stats of your gear.&#x20;

Refining gear requires upgrade pockets.&#x20;

Upgrade pockets can be obtained by dismantling gears.
